In my time working with LTA Ryan during my stint as the Administrative Officer of BMTC School 3, I am truly grateful to have had him as part of my team of officers. As the Platoon Commander of Recovery Company, he was entrusted with overseeing recruits who required additional support to successfully complete their training. A delicate responsibility that demands both patience and strong leadership.
Despite the nature of the role, LTA Ryan demonstrated firm yet compassionate command by ensuring that each recruit’s training requirements were met by thoughtfully curating progressive training programmes tailored to their needs. His ability to balance operational objectives with individual welfare reflects his maturity and dedication as a commander.

I had the privilege of working alongside Ryan during his tenure as a Platoon Commander in 1st Battalion, Singapore Infantry Regiment (1 SIR).
